Apply for a Junior Choral Scholarship at St Saviour's

The Junior Choral Scholarship Scheme is designed for talented and passionate 6th Form Students who wish to develop their singing in a liturgical setting by joining a high-quality and friendly choir. Junior Choral Scholarships are designed to be supportive and nurturing. Junior Choral Scholars will receive guidance and mentorship from both the Choral Scholars and the Director of Music throughout their tenure. The Director of Music and Choral Scholars will be on hand throughout the year to answer any questions you may have about taking your singing further, either at university, conservatoire, or in other liturgical settings. The role also presents a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers who share similar interests.

For the right candidate there may also be the possibility of an Organ Scholarship under similar terms. If you would like to discuss this further, please do contact us.

Junior Choral Scholarships are worth £750/year. This will be paid in three equal instalments in December, April and July.

Please use the QR Code to access the Application Form. Please complete each section, detailing your experience as a singer, explaining what attracts you to this position, and sharing what you wish to gain from the opportunity.

 

Applicants will be shortlisted solely on the basis of what you write on the form, so please make sure you mention all the skills and experiences that you feel are relevant. Please do not send CVs as we will be unable to consider these.

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to perform a solo piece of up to 5 minutes in length and undertake sight-reading, aural tests and a short interview. Auditions for will be arranged in consultation with the Director of Music over the Summer.
